Everspace 2 Delayed Following New Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed as soon as extra and with its new December launch, different studios with deliberate releases throughout that point are scrambling to make adjustments as to not compete with competitors of that dimension. Because of that new launch date, Everspace 2 is not releasing in December, as a substitute choosing a January 2021 launch as a substitute.

Rockfish Games took to its Kickstarter to “get the cyber elephant out of the room right away” with the delay information. “The Cyberpunk 2077 release has just been pushed back to December 10, which is a major blow to our planned EVERSPACE 2 Early Access release in mid-December. Not only will every media outlet and content creator cover the arguably most-anticipated AAA game in history throughout the entire holiday season (and not much else), we also know that there’s quite a bit of audience overlap within our community (and our team), so…”

After a fast assembly with the studio’s PR group, it was determined {that a} small delay can be higher than competing in opposition to arguably the most important launch of 2020. Because of that, the Early Access interval for Everspace 2 shall be happening in January as a substitute.

The studio is aware of that some followers shall be upset with the small delay however within the larger image, going toe-to-toe with a title like Cyberpunk 2077 is daunting. Giving a month cushion between the 2 releases offers gamers an opportunity to dive into Night City absolutely, leaving sufficient time for the hype to drop again down and players to be open to different experiences.

For people who have backed Everspace 2 previous to Early Access, there shall be a closed beta model obtainable on November 2 for the $30+ tier. At this time, we do not have a precise January date but, however extra shall be revealed throughout a Twitch stream at 2 PM ET proper right here.
